R.HEMALATHA , J This Petition is filed to implead one Baby as a party in C.M.A.No.3147 of 2021.

2. According to the petitioner, the mother of Arumugam (since deceased) filed a claim petition under the Workmen Compensation Act and obtained compensation of Rs.6,95,080/-. According to the proposed petitioner, she was the legally wedded wife of deceased Arumugam and without giving any intimation to her, her mother-in-law had obtained compensation amount awarded by the employer.

3. C.M.A.No.3147 of 2021 is filed against the quantum of compensation awarded under Workmen Compensation Act. In the above said petition, the wife of Arumugam (deceased) wanted to get her impleaded as a party.

4. Learned counsel for the first respondent filed his counter stating that there is delay and laches on the part of the proposed petitioner.

5. Heard both sides.

6. This Court is satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and hence, this civil miscellaneous petition is allowed.
