The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 465, 467, 468, 471 & 420 IPC in Crime No. 54 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner along with other accused colluded together fabricated revenue documents, by impersonating as the original owner of A.R.Balasubramanian and executed a Power of Attorney on 23.11.2023 by way of registered Document No. 18277 of 2023 in favour of the husband of the de-facto complainant. On the strength of the Power of Attorney believes that he received Power of Attorney from original owner, the husband of the de-facto complainant had executed a sale deed dated 02.04.2024 in favour of the de-facto complainant on the file of SRO, Avadi, vide registered Document No. 4674 of 2024. Subsequently, it revealed that they were cheated by the petitioner and other accused for a sum of Rs.1.17 Crores. Hence the respondent police registered a case against the petitioner and others.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not received any amount from the de-facto complainant and her husband and he is only a land broker and the said amount was received by A1. He further submits that he has been falsely implicated in this case. He submits 2/5
that he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He also submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and ready to furnish sufficient solvent sureties for his release. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police, reiterated the prosecution case and submits that six previous cases are pending against the petitioner herein and all are similar in nature. He further submits that investigation has been pending against the petitioner. However, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Taking into consideration the fact that six previous cases are pending against the petitioner herein similar in nature; that investigation is pending; that the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner herein, this Court is not inclined to allow this Criminal Original Petition. 3/5
