ORDER

1. The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the Respondents to grant 3 days emergency leave, without escort, to the husband of the Petitioner/ Convict Prisoner, M.Mohamed Ali, S/o.Mohamed Younus, now confined in Puzhal Central Prison-I, by considering the representation of the convict prisoner, dated 29.07.2024.

2. This court heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the Respondents.

3. With reference to the emergency leave application submitted by the convict prisoner, who is the husband of the Petitioner, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the Respondents would submit that the concerned Authorities will take a decision, within a period of one week. In view of the said submissions, the Respondents are directed to consider the emergency leave application submitted by the convict prisoner, dated 29.07.2024 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of one week from today.
