By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard Mr.V.Kasinatha Bharathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Abdul Saleem, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent.

3. The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to admit the petitioner's son in the course of B.Sc.,(Hons.) Agriculture, as per the allotment by the first respondent, dated 17.08.2019 in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Agriculture College, Perambalur.

4. The case of the petitioner is that in the On-line https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

counselling, he was allotted seat in the second respondentCollege to pursue B.Sc.,(Hons.) Agriculture. Though the allotment was ordered on 17.08.2019, he came to know about this only on 20.08.2019 and on the very next day, he reported the second respondent-College for admission. However, the second respondent-College has refused to admit him, since he has not produced original certificates.

Infact, from the counsel for the second respondent college, this Court finds that the petitioner has failed to report the second respondent-College within three days from the date of allotment i.e on or before 20.08.2019. Therefore, the second respondent-College has reported that the seat has lapsed and referred back for the second round of counselling and that seat has also been filled up.

6. In the said circumstances, the contention of the petitioner to allot the seat in the second respondent-College is impossible and the petitioner cannot take advantage of his own fault.

However, the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent would fairly state that if the petitioner is ready to join any other College, he has to participate in the ensue counselling and his candidature will be considered though he has failed to avail the seat offered to him in the second round counselling.

8. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The petitioner shall participate in the mop-up counselling to be held on 31.08.2019 and if there is any vacancy, he can exercise his option and join the College.
