ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the respondent to file a closer report as the issue between the petitioner and the complainant in Cr.No.643 of 2009 was settled, warranting no further course of action. 2.Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that already letter of withdrawal of the complaint has been given. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is involved in 14 cases similar in nature. He would further submit that the respondent has not received any letter for withdrawal of the complaint in Cr.No.643 of 2009 and hence, investigation is going on and prayed for the dismissal of the petition.

5.Considering the rival submissions made on both sides and since this petitioner is the accused and not the defacto complainant and there is no letter before the respondent police for withdrawal of the complaint, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.643 of 2009 as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
