The petitioner has filed this petition seeking direction to the respondents herein to consider the representation sent by the petitioner dated 20.07.2024 and to provide a job opportunity to his elder son and compensation amount for the land acquired.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he was in possession and enjoyment of the land comprised in S.No.250 with an extent of 2 acres for several years. In the year 1992, the Government acquired the said land for the purpose of constructing Moorthana Dam by assuring that a job will be provided to one member of petitioner's family along with compensation. However, till date neither any job nor the compensation has been given to the petitioner's family. Whileso, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 20.07.2024 to the respondents. Since no order has been passed by the respondents, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised in this Writ Petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation Page No.2 of 6
dated 20.07.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a particular time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 has no objection for the said order being passed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.
6. Taking into consideration the factual aspects of the matter, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.07.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved persons if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
