ORDER

Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Govt. Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The present writ petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a wirt of madnamus, to direct the respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 10.09.2016 to register and release the General Power of Attorney dated 10.04.2015.

3. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the vacant house site measuring an extent of 8175 sq.ft, by way of settlement deed dated 10.04.2015 and he had executed a General Power of Attorney dated 10.04.2015 in favour of one C.Munusamy to deal with the above said property. Attorney was produced before the respondent for registration. The respondent did not register the same so far, even though necessary registration and computer charges of Rs.10,150/- was paid by the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation dated 23.07.2016 to the respondent, seeking to register and release the Power of Attorney and the same was received by the respondent on 26.07.2016. Despite the same, there was no response from the respondent. Thereafter, the petitioner made another representation on 10.09.2016 for the very same relief. But, there is no response from the respondent till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.

5. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.09.2016 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
