Minor Vidya v. Durai Alias Rangasamy

CMP No.20285 of 2017 has been filed to declare the sole appellant Vidya (Minor) as Major. CMP No.20286 of 2017 has been filed to discharge the guardian from the guardianship of the Minor (sole appellant) as Major in the Second Appeal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. A copy of the birth certificate pertaining to the petitioner has been filed in the typed set of documents, which shows the Date of Birth of the petitioner as 15.06.1996.

3. It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that all the respondents have been duly served. He also submits that an Affidavit of Service has also been filed before the Registry. A xerox copy of the said affidavit has also been placed before this Court, today.

3. From the above, it is evident that the petitioner has attained majority. Accordingly, she is declared as Major and the Guardian appointed by this Court in O.S. No.2463 of 2004 is discharged and both petitions are ordered as prayed for.

4.Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendments and list the main Second Appeal for hearing on 16.12.2019. 25.11.2019 vsi2
