ORDER
This Criminal Original petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.209 of 2014 pending on the file of the respondent police and to file a final report before the Jurisdictional Court.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation has been completed and a closure report was filed as mistake of fact before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Neyveli on 10.09.2023. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that RCS notice is yet to be served on the defacto complainant.

In view of the above development, there shall a direction to the respondent police to serve the RCS notice to the defacto complainant within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is left open to the petitioner to file a protest petition and work out his remedy in the manner known to law. 4.
This Criminal Original petition is disposed of accordingly. 2/4
