This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.610 of 2017, pending on the file of the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for R.1 submitted that already three witnesses have been examined and remaining witnesses will be examined very soon.

available against the petitioner.
Submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner cannot be accepted by this Court. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, taking note of the submissions, trial Court is directed to expedite the case and dispose of the main case itself within a period of six months and the presence of the petitioner is dispensed with, except for answering the charges, receiving copies, 313 questioning or any other dates specifically fixed by the trial Court. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
