ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 13.05.2025 and take a decision within the time frame fixed by this Court.

Heard Mr.D.S.Ramesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.G.Sivakumar, learned Standing counsel for respondents. 3.

The case of the petitioner is that the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board allotted the subject property in favour of his grand parents. After their demise, the same was in possession and enjoyment of his mother and uncle. They entered into a lease cum sale agreement dated 10.06.1997 with the Slum clearance board and they were paying the monthly instalments regularly. Thereafter, the mother of the petitioner and his uncle divided the property equally and the uncle constructed a house and the petitioner's father and mother continued to live in the old house. After their demise, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondent on 13.05.2025 seeking for permission to pay the balance amount and to get the sale deed executed in his favour. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of

the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation dated 13.05.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall submit all the relevant documents before the 2nd respondent during enquiry. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
