Mr.R.U.Dinesh Raj Kumar, the Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the order passed by the first respondent vide proceedings in G.O.(D) No.30, dated 30.05.2020, consequently to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to be deemed retired from service with effect from his due date of superannuation i.e. 30.05.202, and to release all terminal benefits including pension, gratuity, leave encashment, and other retirement benefits, within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2/5
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the date of his superannuation, he was suspended, vide proceedings in G.O.(D) No.30, dated 30.05.2020. Thereafter, the disciplinary proceeding was initiated and an Enquiry Officer was appointed. After 2021, no progress has been made in the disciplinary proceedings. Hence, the learned counsel would further submit that the petitioner challenged the suspension order would seek direction against the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings within a reasonable time.
4. At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that they will conclude the disciplinary proceedings within a reasonable time.
5. In view of the above submission, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
