This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders in the pending application in M.P.No.26 of 2023 filed under Section 54(1) of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959, within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2. Heard Mr.J.Bharathi Raja, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, learned Government Advocate produced the written instructions received from the respondent. On going through the same, it is seen that the application is pending before the respondent and the respondent is in the process of conducting enquiry and passing orders.
4. In the light of the above instructions given by the respondent, there shall be a direction to the respondent to conduct enquiry after affording opportunity to all the interested parties and final orders shall be passed within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date 2/4
of receipt of a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
