ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.198 of 2015, on the file of the District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Neyveli-2.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent Police.

3. It is brought to the notice of this Court charges have been framed and the trial has already been commenced and PW-1 has already been examined.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the proceedings in C.C.No.198 of 2015 at this stage. Rather a time limit can be fixed for the competition of the proceedings.

5. It is left open to the petitioner to raise all the grounds before the Court below and the Court below shall consider the same on its merits and in accordance with law.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Neyveli-2, to complete the proceedings in C.C.No.198 of 2015, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of the order. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
