Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for records in respect of the impugned revised assessment notice No.7/15-18/4508 dt 22.8.15, demanding the Property Tax from Rs.44,779/- to Rs.1,28,585/- per half year for the period from II/2009 to I/2015-16 in respect of the petitioners property bearing New door No.5 (Old no.146), AA Block,4th St, Anna Nagar, Chennai 40 and to quash the same and forbear the respondents from taking any coercive steps for recovery of the same in pursuance to the above impugned demand of the respondents.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the property tax arrears had already been cleared by the tenant who are in occupation of the premises.

2. However, the fact remains that, there is no arrears of property tax to be paid to the respondent, Corporation of Chennai. This being the factum of the case, no further adjudication needs to be entertained in respect of the grounds raised by the writ petitioner.
