ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ of mandamus has been instituted to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.08.2024. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner is the mother of the under trial prisoner now presently lodged at Central Prison at Vellore.

The petitioner would submit that the detenue is facing criminal cases in and around Salem District. Therefore, an application is submitted to transfer the detenue from Vellore Prison to Salem Prison. Since no action has been taken, the present writ petition came to be instituted. 4.
The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the application will the processed and an appropriate decision will be taken.

In view of the said submission, the first respondent is directed to scrutinise the application submitted by the petitioner and taken an appropriate decision on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three (03) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
