28062 OF 2021) pending disposal of the WP.NO.26609 OF 2021 Order : This petition coming on this day for hearing upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.USHARAMMAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of M/S.C.
The petitioner is the son of the 6th respondent. Since the petitioner is not taken care of his father, the petitioners father made an application to the Revenue Divisional Officer to cancel the settlement deed registered in favour of the petitioner under Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. The same was considered and the impugned order was passed on 24.09.2021 to cancel the settlement deed. Challenging the same, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3. There shall be an order of interim stay on condition that the petitioner is directed to pay a sum of Rs.7,500/- (Rupees Seven Thousand and Five Hundred only) per month to his father viz., sixth respondent on or before 5th of every English calender month without any default, until further order.
