ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representations made by the petitioners on 17.03.2021, 14.11.2022 and 15.02.2023, in the light of the orders issued by the Government in G.O.(MS)No.278, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 13.06.2019.

2.The grievance of the Writ Petitioners is that they were working as Sanitary Inspectors in the Greater Chennai Corporation and retired from service on various dates after serving for more than thirty years. Based on the orders of the 1st respondent, the petitioners were promoted as Sanitary Inspector belatedly eventhough number of vacancies were available in the Corporation. Though a Government Order in G.O.(Ms)No.278, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 13.06.2019 has been passed giving Page No.2 of 4

retrospective promotion to the petitioners in W.P.No.29794 of 2005 in the cadre of Health Inspector Grade-I, the Government has not considered the individuals who are working under the local bodies. In this regard, the petitioners have representation to the respondents on 17.03.2021, 14.11.2022 and 15.02.2023, however, the same have not been considered. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 submitted that the representations, on behalf of the Association, have been sent to the Chief Minister's Cell, but no direct representation has been given to the respondents 1 and 3.

4.Considering the limited scope of relief sought for in this Writ Petition, the petitioners are directed to give fresh representation to the respondents 1 and 3, within ten days, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months thereafter.
