Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant admission to the petitioner's daughter D.Shanmugavadiv for B.Sc(Agriculture) course in any one of the Government Agricultural Colleges under the control of the respondent University for the academic year 2016-2017.

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant admission to the petitioner's daughter D.Shanmugavadiv for B.Sc(Agriculture) course in any one of the Government Agricultural Colleges under the control of the respondent University for the academic year 2016-2017. 2.Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, the Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's daughter was given admission on 08.07.2016 and she has chosen the College, which was available on that day. The last date

for payment was fixed on 16.07.2016 but she has not chosen to pay the fees. Therefore, her admission automatically lapses. Even otherwise, the last counselling was conducted on 03.08.2016 and the last date for final admission was on 31.08.2016. When all these procedures are over, the present representation is made only on 24.09.2016 and hence, it cannot be taken into consideration. 3.In such view of the matter, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
