Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the panel for promotion to the post of Higher Secondary School Headmaster by fixing the seniority of the petitioner from the date of his initial appointment as Post Graduate Assistant English i.e. 08.06.1998 and to promote the petitioner to the post of Headmaster, Higher Secondary School based on that seniority with consequential and other attendant benefits in par with other similarly placed persons.

ORDER

The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has completed 17 years of unblemished service as Post Graduate Assistant, his name was not included in the next promotional post of Headmaster in Higher Secondary School. Therefore, due to non-inclusion of his name, he made a representation dated 14.01.2015 before the second respondent, however, the same has not been considered by the second respondent till date.

2. Thus, taking note of the pendency of the representation, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to dispose of the representation dated 14.01.2015 of the petitioner on merits and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs. WMP No.2799 of 2016 is closed.
