These miscellaneous petitions have been filed seeking for extension of time for completion of investigation.

2.The Criminal Original Petitions were disposed of by this Court by order dated 05.07.2023 on the basis of the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to the effect that the entire investigation has been completed and that the final report and closure report will be filed within a period of four weeks. It is brought to the notice of this Court that some of the petitioners have approached the Apex Court and filed special leave petitions and the Apex Court by order dated 28.7.2023 had directed the respondent police that in case the final report in Crime No.525 of 2015 is not yet laid, filing of the final report shall be deferred till further orders are passed by the Apex Court. In the light of the orders passed by the Apex Court, there is no scope for this Court to extend the time as sought for by the State in these petitions. 3.In view of the above, all these miscellaneous petitions are closed. 05.09.2023 KP https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
