Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to restore all water channels flowing from the said Javvadu mountain towards the said Kolathur Lake situate in Irumpuli-Kalpattu Panchayat at Irumpuli Village, Polur Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, with the assistance of the 5th respondent within a time frame.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) We take the stand of the fifth respondent on record as set out in para 6 of the affidavit affirmed on 11.11.2016 that Public Works Department has approached the Revenue Department on 27.10.2016 to conduct a detailed field survey to identify the encroachers in Malaikannar and after getting the details of encroachments from Tahsildar, Polur, action will be taken to remove the encroachment in Malaikannar.

2.The aforesaid exercise be completed within three (3) months from today and the petitioner be informed accordingly. 3.Writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
