This petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police not to harass the petitioners in whatsoever manner particularly in calling them to the Police Station.

2. May be on account of boycott of Courts, there is no representation on the side of the petitioners. However, in Harish Uppal [Ex.Capt.] Vs Union of India reported in [2003] 2 SCC 45, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that boycott of Courts is illegal and therefore, this Court went through the records and passed orders, on hearing the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. On going through the typed set of papers, it is seen that, on the complaint given by one Jayalakshmi, the Sub Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch, Coimbatore has issued summons to the 1st petitioner for enquiry, but whereas the petitioners has impleaded the Inspector of Police, District Cirme Branch, Coimbatore as respondent.

4. In view of the above, the petitioners are directed to co-operate with the police for enquiry, that is being conducted by the Sub Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Coimbatore and at the time of conducting enquiry, the petitioners shall not be harassed. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the Sub Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch, Coimbatore is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioners against arrest.
