ORDER
Heard the petitioner in person. The revision petitioner has initiated Domestic Violence proceedings against her husband as well as relatives.
2. The respondents in the present revision have approached this Court in CRP No.2608 of 2023 to strike off the Domestic Violence Case, which has been initiated by the revision petitioner. The said revision was disposed of
as early as on 21.11.2023 directing the learned trial Judge to complete the DVC proceedings within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.
3. It is now seen that the revision petitioner wants a prayer that has already been sought for in the main Domestic Violence complaint by way of interim relief for protection, monetary relief and right over shared house hold, by filing a petition in CMP No.8294 of 2023.

The Additional Mahila Court, Chengalpattu has found that the very same reliefs have already been sought for by the revision petitioner in the main domestic violence proceedings and further, a sum of Rs.12,000/- per month is being paid towards interim maintenance and in view of the direction of this Court to dispose of the main DVC proceedings within a period of six months, the learned Additional Mahila Court has proceeded to close CMP No.8294 of 2023.
5. In view of the above, I see no serious prejudice being caused to the revision petitioner. However, noticing that as early as on 21.11.2023, this Court had directed the trial Court to complete the DVC proceedings within a period of six months. We are already in August 2025.
6. The revision petitioner/party-in-person submits that subsequent to the order dated 21.11.2023, the respondents herein have filed an application for discharge before the Magistrate and subsequently the same was withdrawn and this has caused further delay.

In the light of the above the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Chengalpattu is directed to dispose of main DVC proceedings in DVC No.13 of 2023 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and considering that even earlier, this Court has directed expeditious disposal of DVC proceedings, the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Chengalpattu shall ensure that this order is complied with and no further extension of time is sought for.
8. With the above direction, the civil revision petition is disposed of. No costs.
