ORDER

This petition is filed praying for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam, The Nilgiris to expedite the trial in C.C.No.47 of 2014 and complete the same within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2.The petitioner herein filed a private complaint as against the respondent for the alleged offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and the same is pending in C.C.No.47 of 2014. Though the complaint has been preferred and it has been taken on file as C.C.No.47 of 2014, as early as in the year 2014, there is no speedy progress in the trial. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. In view of the order that is going to be passed, this Court is of the opinion that there is no need to issue notice to the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam, The Nilgiris to expedite the trial in C.C.No.47 of 2014 and complete the same as early as possible, preferably, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
