PRAYER : Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to call for the records and quash the FIR pending investigation in Crime No.36 of 2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Kancheepuram District.

ORDER

When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioners as well as the second respondent/defacto complainant are personally present before this Court and identified themselves. They also produced their Aadhar Card bearing Nos.8210 6462 5493, 6421 7697 1914, 6662 9378 7438, 6091 0566 2019 and Driving License No.TN01 20120004869 respectively. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as the learned counsel for the second respondent and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that pending investigation in Crime No.36 of 2017 on the file of the first respondent herein, the second respondent/de-facto complainant and the petitioners have amicably settled the issue https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

among themselves and the second respondent has also filed a compromise affidavit dated 28.08.2019 stating that the second respondent has no objection if the investigation in Crime No.36 of 2017 on the file of the first respondent herein is quashed. 4.Recording the statements made by the defacto complainant in the affidavit filed by the petitioner dated 28.08.2019, the investigation in Crime No.36 of 2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Kancheepuram District, is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
