ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner dated 17.07.2023 to keep the departmental proceedings initiated in PR.No.10/2023 dated 08.05.2023 pending disposal of the Criminal case registered in Cr.No.72 of 2023, on the file of the Manimangalam Police Station, within a limited time frame.

2. Heard the learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.07.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that pending consideration of the petitioner's representation is not an impediment for the Enquiry Officer to proceed with the enquiry.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
