Respondents PRAYER:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prays to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 13.11.2018 and reminder dated 09.04.2019 for relaying the Kollapalayam to Potlipalayam Link Road, Viz Sri Raam Balaji Paper Mill Road, Emapalli Village, Thiruvchengode Taluk, Namakkal District.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN,J.,] The petitioner is a resident of Kollapalayam Village, Emapalli Post, Tirchengode Taluk, Namakkal District and according to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the road between Kollapalayam and Kotiapalayam Link Road is in a pitiable and unmotorable condition and also drawn the attention
of this Court to the photographs available at page no.7 of the typed set of documents and would submit that the petitioner, in this regard, has also submitted a representation dated 09.04.2019 to the official respondents and despite receipt and acknowledgment, no steps have been taken atleast to fill up the potholes and would further add that the road is also connecting educational institution and there is heavy movement of traffic and therefore, road users are put to utmost inconvenience and hardship and there is likelihood of accidents also, especially during night hours and hence prays for appropriate orders.
2. Mr.Akhil Akbar Ali, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 and on instructions, would submit that the grievance expressed by the petitioner would be redressed as expeditiously as possible.
3. This Court has considered the rival submissions and also perused the materials placed before it.
4. This Court, taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances, directs the Block Development Officer / 3rd respondent to cause inspection on the road between Kollapalayam and Kotiapalayam, Emapalli Post, Tirchengode Taluk, Namakkal District within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and depending upon the result of the inspection, shall take immediate, necessary and appropriate steps to relay the road, in compliance of the Indian Road Congress Norms within a further period of four weeks thereafter and file a status Report with supporting documents and photographs before this Court.
5. The Writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
