Annamalai ....Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation dated 14.08.2020 issued by the petitioners herein and conduct enquiry in relation to the illegal mutation of Village Adangal Records in the name of the 7th to 9th respondents who do not belong to the Irular Community and thereby direct the sixth respondent to remove the illegal entry of names of the 7th to 9th respondents in the Village Adangal Records in respect of the Plot Nos.96, 98, 111, 117 and 119 comprised in S.Nos.29/1A and 31/2B situate at Keel Annaaikarai Village, Chengam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District and restore the names of the petitioners respectively to the said plots in the Village Adangal Records based on the patta granted to the petitioners by the fourth respondent and further consequently direct the fourth respondent to hand over the possession to the petitioners in the above subject property.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 14.08.2020 and conduct enquiry in relation to the illegal mutation of Village Adangal Records in the name of the 7th to 9th respondents who do not belong to the Irular Community and thereby direct the sixth respondent to remove the illegal entry of names of the 7th to 9th respondents in the Village Adangal Records in respect of the Plot Nos.96, 98, 111, 117 and 119 comprised in S.Nos.29/1A and 31/2B situate at Keel Annaaikarai Village, Chengam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District and restore the names of the petitioners respectively to the said plots in the Village Adangal Records based on the patta granted to the petitioners by the fourth respondent and consequently direct the fourth respondent to hand over the possession to the petitioners in the above subject property.

2.Heard, Mr.R.Abdul Mubeen, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.Jeevagiritharan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6. 3.Without going into the merits of the case, the second

respondent is directed to conduct enquiry after issuance of notice to the petitioners and the respondents 7 to 9, after giving them an opportunity of hearing and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
