Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 09.12.2016 for rectification of errors crept in, in the revenue records which were wrongly updated during UDR in respect of the lands measuring an extent of 32.62 acres comprised in old Survey No.2, New Survey No.2/1 of Malakalakki Village, Soolagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri District and issue patta to the petitioners within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 09.12.2016 for rectification of errors crept in the revenue records which were wrongly updated during UDR in respect the lands measuring an extent of 32.62 acres comprised in old Survey No.2, New Survey No.2/1 of Malakalakki Village, Soolagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri District and issue patta to the petitioners within a time frame. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that though the petitioners have given the representation as early as on 09.12.2016, the 1st respondent has not passed any order sofar.

3.Ms.A.Mathumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 3 and 5 submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' representation and pass orders in accordance with law, within a time frame.

4. Mr.M. Elumalai, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents 2 and 4 also reiterated the stand of the learned Special Government Pleader.

5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 09.12.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
