O R D E R

Mrs.S.Pavithra, the learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2025 and to provide alternative job and to pay wages from 27.06.2023.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he was joined in the respondent Corporation on 31.01.2007 as a driver and subsequently, was involved in an accident on 23.02.2009. Thereafter, the petitioner was given an alternative job from 16.12.2013 to 26.06.2023. He would further submit that subsequently, the respondent, without any reason, refused to provide any employment. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 23.04.2025, and such representation is pending with the respondent.

At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner was referred to the Medical Board, and they have issued a certificate stating that the petitioner has 23% permanent disability and is unfit to drive. She would further submit that on 06.05.2025, the petitioner was once again directed to appear the Medical Board.

5. However, from the submissions of the learned Standing Counsel, it is a fact that the petitioner has 23% disability as of 05.02.2025, and the representation of the petitioner dated 23.04.2025 is yet to be considered by the respondent.

In view of the above submission, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2025, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
