ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 17.06.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner submitted an application under the Right to Information

Act before the respondent on 17.06.2024. However, it is pending for more than 30 days. The provision under Section 7(1) of the Right to Information Act, says that the Public Information Officer is bound to act on the application within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of the application.

4. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to dispose of the application submitted by the petitioner seeking information under the Right to Information Act, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
