[ Respondents ] Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioner as Assistant Elementary Education Officer pursuant to the inclusion of the petitioner's name in the panel 2014-2015 at serial No.11 on par with his Juniors with all service and monetary benefits.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come to this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a mandamus for disposal of the appeal pending on the file of the first respondent, Director of Elementary Education, Chennai, in which he has sought for promotion to the post of Assistant Elementary Education Officer.

2. Mr. R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondents, would submit that three weeks time may be granted to dispose of the pending appeal.

3. Since the prayer made is limited and reasonable, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
