This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to file a final report after due investigation in Crime No.278 of 2013 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent police.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had lodged a private complaint before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Attur. After enquiry, the learned Judicial Magistrate forwarded the same to the respondent police under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. Thereafter, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.278 of 2013. Since the investigation is not being conducted properly, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the second respondent to file a final report, after due investigation in Crime No.278 of 2013. He further submitted that he was not communicated about filing of the closure report and no notice was served to the petitioner.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that after due investigation, further action was dropped and a final report was made ready and the same has been presented before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Attur. Due to the lockdown, he is unable to furnish the report to the petitioner. Now, the petitioner is well aware about filing of the closure report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Attur. Thereafter, it is for the petitioner to take necessary re-course as per law.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. -s/d- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar ssb To 1.The Superintendent of Police, Salem District, Salem.
