ORDER

By this petition, the writ petitioner seeks to implead Shanthi Sivakumar as the 2nd respondent in W.P.(IPD)No.33 of 2025. The party sought to be impleaded had opposed the relevant Trade Mark Application No.4163959.

2. Mr. A.K.Rajaraman, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the proposed respondent. He submits that the trade mark application was filed by an individual and not by the writ petitioner. In any event, he confirms that Shanthi Sivakumar had opposed such application. In those circumstances, Shanthi Sivakumar is a necessary party to the writ petition.

3. Therefore, this petition is allowed and the Registry is directed to make the consequential amendments to W.P.(IPD) No.33 of 2025 on or before 02.09.2025. The petitioner is directed to serve the copies of the amended petition on the respondents within a week from then.
