This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 16.05.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for renewal of registration to the petitioner as Class 1 A contractor at State level for the public works.

2. Heard Ms.T.Hemalatha, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. When the writ petition was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents produced the copy of G.O.(Ms) No.83, dated 26.02.2024. Learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that effective from 01.04.2023, such renewal can be sought for only by submitting an application through online mode. For this purpose, learned Additional Government Pleader relied upon Clause-7 of the said Government Order.

4. In view of the above, it is left open to the petitioner to submit the application through online mode as per the aforesaid Government 2/4

order and the same will be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law.
