ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) When the contempt petition was taken up, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that as per the order of this court 1/3
dated 12.08.2014 passed in W.P.No.21592 of 2014, action had already been taken by the second respondent / Tasildhar, Tambaram for removal of encroachment, by conducting necessary survey. However, in view of the fact that the area in dispute is now lying within the jurisdiction of Tambaram Corporation, the second respondent has placed all the files including the inspection report to the Commissioner, Tambaram Corporation, for speedy action. The learned counsel further submitted that appropriate action would be taken as per law, after providing due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all other interested parties. In support of the said submissions, the learned counsel produced a copy of the communication in Na.Ka.No.101/2022/Aa1 dated 01.02.2023 addressed by the second respondent to the Commissioner, Tambaram, before this Court.
2. Recording the above, this Contempt Petition stands closed, granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the Commissioner, Tambaram Corporation for necessary action.
