Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order made in G.O.3D No.122 Housing and Urban Development (UD1) Department dated 22.08.2016 passed by the first respondent in confirming the order made in Letter No.Reg.MSB/C6/51395/2000 dated 31.10.2014 passed by the second respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to regularise the construction on the building put up in the property bearing Door No.68, Acharappan Street, George Town, Chennai-600 001 comprised in T.S.No.5993, Block No.53 owned by the petitioner. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have perused the additional typed set of documents, more specifically, the communication dated 01.11.2016 by the TANGEDCO stating that the electricity service connections were utilised with effect from the year 1998.

2. In view of the aforesaid fact and what we have observed in our order dated 19.10.2016, we set aside the impugned order dated 22.8.2016 and remit the matter back to the competent authority for re-consideration in accordance with law.

3. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
