O.P.No.812 of 2023 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J This petition has been filed under Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, XXXIX of 1925 and under Order XXV Rule 6 of Original Side Rules seeking to issue Succession Certificate to the first petitioner herein with respect to the public provident fund in State Bank of India, Anna Nagar West Branch in the name of their mother. 2.The petitioners are the son and daughter of Mrs.M.K.Sowbhagyam who died interstate on 21.07.2022.

3.After following due procedure, the petitioners were directed to tender evidence. Accordingly, the first petitioner examined himself as P.W.1 and he marked Ex.P2, the Death Certificate of his mother and Ex.P3, the Legal Heir Certificate of his mother. The documents relating to the State Bank of India were marked as Exs.P4, P5 and P6. The second petitioner had given consent that the Succession Certificate may be issued in favour of the first petitioner.
