For the Petitioner : Mr.R.Karthikeyan For Mr.E.Sampath Kumar For the Respondents : Mrs.R.Anitha Special Government Pleader
ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to take action on the representations of the petitioner dated 23.02.2021 and 27.04.2022.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has filed this writ petition only to protect the public at large and to reduce illegal mining in the District, as most of the quarries are
carrying out mining activities without proper permit and licences and since no action was taken on the representations of the petitioner, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. A perusal of the affidavit and the typed set of papers does not throw any light as to where the illegal quarrying is taking place and who is illegally mining the quarry and also the period during which it is taking place. Therefore, when learned counsel for the petitioner was directed to furnish details, he is unable to furnish the same, except to request this Court to peruse the representations of the petitioner.
5. In view of the above and the fact that this writ petition has been filed with ulterior motive, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition and accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP No.25749 of 2022 is also dismissed.
