Crl.O.P.No.22682 of 2023 A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J., The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioners on bail in connection with Crime No.1152 of 2023, registered for the offence under Sections 14, 7(1) and 14G of Foreigners Act, 1946.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, there is no representation for the petitioners.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that investigation in this case has been completed and the case has also been taken up on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tiruppur, in C.C.No.04 of 2023. He further submitted that the trial has been completed and the trial Court had found that the petitioners/accused, who are the Nigerian Nationals, guilty for the offence under Section 14 of Foreigners Act, 1946 and sentenced them to undergo two years rigorous imprisonment by an order dated 20.10.2023. Further, the trial Court had directed to set off the period during which the petitioners/accused are in judicial custody i.e., from 22.09.2022, till the date of judgment, against the sentence of imprisonment. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
