This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation dated 03.04.2025 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners herein are the residents of Kapali Thottam, Mylapore which were allotted to them by the third respondent and now, the respondents have decided to demolish and reconstruct flats in that place and also assured the residents that they will be allotted housing there but to their shock, non residents are trying to occupy the flats, hence they made complaints to the respondents concerned but no fruitful response. Thereafter, the petitioners made a representation in detail dated 03.04.2025 to the third and fourth respondents but however, all their efforts went in vein. Aggrieved by the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioners, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation dated 03.04.2025 of the petitioners and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.

6. WMP.No.42355 of 2025 filed seeking to permit the first petitioner to file a single Writ Petition on behalf of himself and the other petitioners is allowed.
