The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct to the respondent police to register a case on the complaint dated 20.12.2015 given by the petitioner and investigate according to the law expeditiously.

2. The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint as against one Kumar stating that in respect of a money dispute between the said Kumar and the petitioner, Civil Suit is pending before the City Civil Court at Chennai. While so, on 19.12.2015, at about 5.30 p.m., the said Kumar along with two persons trespassed into the house of the petitioner and abused the petitioner and his wife in filthy language and threatened them with dire consequences. Though C.S.R.No.602 of 2015 has been assigned on the complaint of the petitioner, no action has been taken on the said complaint, till date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Criminal Original Petition.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of the complaint from the petitioner, the respondent has assigned C.S.R.602 of 2015 on the said complaint and the matter is pending for enquiry.

5. In view of the submissions made on either side, this court directs the respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 20.12.2015 in C.S.R.No.602 of 2015 and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law.
