Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to include the name of the petitioner in the list of valid voters pertaining to ward 4 of Kottur Town Panchayat, Pollachi Taluk, in the Assembly segment of Valparai Constituency, Coimbatore District and consequently enable him to contest the elections of the Town Panchayat to be held on 17.10.2016 pursuant to the Notification in the Statutory Order No.36/2016/TNSEC/ME-1 dated 25.9.2016 issued by the 1st respondent.

This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to include the name of the petitioner in the list of valid voters pertaining to ward 4 of Kottur Town Panchayat, Pollachi Taluk, in the Assembly segment of Valparai Constituency, Coimbatore District and consequently, enable him to

contest the elections of the Town Panchayat to be held on 17.10.2016 pursuant to the Notification in the Statutory Order No.36/2016/TNSEC/ ME-1 dated 25.9.2016 issued by the first respondent. 2.It is represented by both the petitioner as well as by the respondents that pursuant to the interim direction given by this Court on 30.09.2016, the petitioner's name has been included as Serial No.887 in ward 4 of Kottur Town Panchayat, Pollachi Taluk. 3.Since the order sought by the petitioner has been complied with, recording the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
