ORDER

These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed to direct the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge Arani to dispose the cases in Crl.A.Nos.12, 13 and 14 of 2024 and Crl.R.C.Nos.6, 7 and 8 of 2024 within a stipulated period fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the defacto complainant in the above cases. He had filed complaint against the respondent under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and the trial Court had convicted the respondent awarding one year simple imprisonment and to pay compensation of Rs.30,000/-, instead of the total cheque amount of Rs.50,00,000/-. In all the cases though written arguments have been submitted and the judgment was reserved on 25.04.2025, cases were posted for clarification on 06.06.2025 and on

subsequent hearings. Hence, seeks a direction to the appellate Court for early disposal of the cases.

Considering the limited prayer sought for in these petitions, without going into the merits of the cases, the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Arani is directed to expidite disposal of the cases in Crl.A.Nos.12, 13 and 14 of 2024 and Crl.R.C.Nos.6, 7 and 8 of 2024 and dispose of the cases within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
