Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent to consider and dispose of the Petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2013 in the light of the G.O. Ms. No. 959 dated 08.11.2013 and consequently direct the Respondents to provide accelerated promotion to the Petitioner with effect from 30.06.2008 with in a period of stipulated time.

Though the matter has been posted under the caption 'for dismissal', there was no representation for the Petitioner when the matter was called at 10.40 a.m. today, apart from the earlier hearing on 24.06.2022. There does not appear to be any useful purpose being served in keeping the Writ Petition pending indefinitely when the Petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the same.
