This Criminal Original Petition was filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to stay and dispense with the personal appearance of the petitioner in the proceedings of the case pending in C.C.No.74 of 2015 on the Judicial Magistrate Additional Mahila Court, Coimbatore and quash the same.

ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the proceedings of the case pending in C.C.No.74 of 2015 on the Judicial Magistrate Additional Mahila Court, Coimbatore. 2.
It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the dispute have already been amicably settled between the parties. The 2nd respondent/wife has got divorced by mutual consent. They have also entered in to a compromise, wherein she has agreed to withdraw the proceedings pending https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
before the Additional Mahila Court in C.C.No.74 of 2015. The memorandum of compromise recorded between the parties and the proceedings before the Family Court were also filed before this Court. In such view of the matter, this court is of the view that continuing the prosecution is a futile exercise 3.
The learned counsel representing the Public Prosecutor states that the dispute has been settled between the parties in C.C.No.74 of 2015 before the Judicial Magistrate Additional Mahila Court, Coimbatore and nothing survives in this matter for further adjudication.

In view of the above submission, the criminal original petition is allowed and the proceedings pending before the trial Court is hereby quashed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
