The petitioner, who is arrayed as A.4, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 380 of IPC in Crime No.31 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, who is a relative of the victim conspired with other accused to commit robbery and on 19.01.2016, the accused had entered into the house of the defacto complainant under the pretext of servicing their washing machine and thereafter, snatched a gold chain weighing 4 sovereigns at knife point. 3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated as accused in the present case based on the confession of the co-accused. 4.Learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent would submit that totally there are 7 accused in this case and that the petitioner has no bad antecedents. It is further submitted that co-accused has been granted anticipatory bail by this court.

5. Considering the fact that there is no previous case pending against the petitioner and that the co-accused has been granted anticipatory bail, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner with certain conditions.
6. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai and on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m. until further orders, for interrogation. The petitioner shall comply with the condition stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously.
7. The petitioner shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail stands dismissed. 01.03.2016 rgr Crl.O.P.No.4561 of 2016
