ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the fourth respondent to consider the representation dated 26.04.2025 accordance with law and issue a patta in favour of the petitioner herein for the property comprised in Old Natham Survey No.434/2B1A Part, New Natham Survey No.488/13, ad-measuring 9813 sq.ft., situated at Ozhalur Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu Registration District, Chengalpattu District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Admittedly, the property comprised in Old Natham Survey No.434/2B1A Part, New Natham Survey No.488/13, ad-measuring 9813 sq.ft., situated at Ozhalur Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu Registration District, Chengalpattu District is classified as "Grama Natham". Though the petitioner purchased the same from a third party, it is classified as Grama Natham. Therefore, "Grama Natham" is meant for residential purposes and not

for any other purpose and as such, the request made by the petitioner seeking patta for the entire land cannot be considered.
