ORDER
This petition is filed praying for a direction to the respondent to conduct enquiry within a specified time and to file a final report in Crime No.156 of 2014 before the competent court. 2.A complaint has been lodged by this petitioner as against one un-known person for the alleged offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC. Though the complaint has been registered in Crime No.156 of 2014 as early as on 01.02.2014, till date there is no progress in the investigation and the final report has not been filed. Hence, this petition.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that case ought to have been registered under Section 380 of IPC, but case has been registered under Section 420 of IPC and till date there https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
is no progress in the investigation and prayed for appropriate orders.
4.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that while the petitioner was travelling in a two wheeler, he has given lift to an un-known person and after dropping the un-known person in a particular place, he came to know that seven sovereigns of jewels kept in his pocket was missing. He would further submit that since theft was committed by an un-known person, it would take considerable time to complete the investigation.
5.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
